How to Make Stabilized Whipped Cream

Stabilized whipped cream holds its shape and stays light and fluffy much longer than regular whipped cream! Use it to decorate cakes, cupcakes, pies, and more.

What you need:

cold water unflavored gelatin heavy whipping cream powdered sugar pure vanilla extract

Add gelatin to water in a microwave-safe bowl and set aside for 3 to 4 minutes. Heat in the microwave until dissolved, then cool slightly.

Use a mixer to mix together heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Whip until it thickens and soft peaks form.

Slowly add the gelatin mixture until well combined, then increase mixer to medium speed until stiff peaks form.

Pipe the whipped cream into homemade pastries.

Spread over your favorite cake.
