Chocolate Lava Cakes (For Two!)

These Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes for Two are the perfect small batch dessert! They're incredibly easy to make and ready in less than 30 minutes.

What you need:

Add the butter and semi-sweet chocolate to a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave until smooth

Add the powdered sugar and whisk until combined

Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, mixing until fully combined

Lastly, add the flour and espresso powder and mix until just combined

Evenly divide the batter between two greased 6-ounce ramekins and smooth it out

Bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm and the center is still slightly soft

Remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to stand for one minute before inverting the lava cakes onto a serving plate
